FAQ’s

What is commercial conveyancing?

Commercial conveyancing is the legal process in the transfer of ownership or lease of commercial properties between two or more parties.

You will need a commercial property solicitor to negotiate and finalise an agreement of the sale, purchase or lease of your commercial property detailed in a legally binding agreement.

How long does the commercial conveyancing process take to complete?

This depends on a number of factors but mainly includes the terms of the agreement and all parties cooperating in agreeing to the terms. With simple transactions, it’s possible to complete within a week, but not every commercial property transaction is the same. Typically, this can take between 1 to 6 weeks.

We will always do our best to respond to enquiries so that the completion happens as soon as possible, but this also requires other parties to work the same way. Rest assured; our commercial property solicitors will take a proactive approach in finalising your transaction.

What if I want to do work on a commercial property?

We can negotiate terms in the lease which include rights to alter the premises. Additionally, if planning permission is required, we can apply for planning on your behalf.
