Family Reunion for UK visa holders
If you’re an individual who is already in the UK on a visa and is looking for certain members of your family to join you, there are various family visa types that may apply to your circumstance. These also apply if you intend to arrive in the UK together, where you have been offered work in the UK and hold a UK Tier 1 & 2 visa. Family visas allow spouses or partners, children, grandchildren, parents, and dependent adult relatives come to the UK on the back of your work visa.
Depending on your circumstances or the type of work visa you have, your family may be eligible for:
- Family of a Settled Person visa, for families of a British citizen or those who hold permanent residency
- EEA Family Permit, for families outside of the European Economic Area who have a family member that is an EEA national who is living in the UK. This visa is only applicable to family members who are applying outside of the UK
- UK Residence Card, similar to EEA Family Permit but allows extended family members such as siblings
- Parent of a Tier 4 Child visa, for parents of children aged under 12 who are studying at an independent fee-paying UK school
